City Rail Link Ltd is looking for a talented Project Engineer (Systems) to come and work on our important, city shaping project that will help you take your career to the next level.
You will report directly to the Systems Director and act as the key technical interface between the CRL Systems team, Link Alliance Design team and future operators (Auckland Transport and Kiwirail). You will be accountable for ensuring consistency between other architectures and across the various design teams.
This position is responsible for collating information from design change requests and providing guidance to the Systems and Delivery Directors on the commercial impact and future benefit of the change request, while ensuring the project’s goals and objectives are met.

1. Develop and own the system architecture within your remit
2. Build working relationships and a common understanding with the design teams and relevant stakeholders
3. Identify the system interfaces for all areas and submit to the interface management team
4. Identify system artefacts (products, assets, sub-systems) ensuring alignment with the System Breakdown Structure
You’ll ideally have the following:
5. A relevant tertiary qualification In Engineering or similar
6. 3+ years professional experience in the construction industry
7. Proven ability to work collaboratively and effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
8. Working knowledge of railway systems, terminology, and interfaces
The City Rail Link is New Zealand’s largest infrastructure project to date. When it is complete, Auckland will have its first underground metro and three new world-class stations that will completely revolutionise the way people travel, work, and live in the city.
