About the
Role
We are seeking an experienced and commercially
focused General Manager to lead The Perch. This is a senior leadership
position suited to a confident operator with a proven background in
high-volume, quality-led hospitality.
You will be fully accountable for the performance
of the business, leading a large team, driving standards, and delivering
outstanding guest experiences while achieving strong financial results — all
within a structured 45-hour per week contract.
Key
Responsibilities
* Lead, inspire, and manage the entire
restaurant team, creating a culture of excellence and accountability
* Oversee all day-to-day operations, ensuring
seamless service from open to close
* Recruit, train, develop, and retain a
high-performing management and front-of-house team
* Manage rotas, payroll, performance reviews,
and team development
* Take ownership of financial performance,
including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
* Maintain exceptional standards of food
quality, service, cleanliness, and compliance
* Oversee stock control, supplier relationships,
ordering, and invoicing
* Act as the face of the restaurant, hosting
guests and managing special occasions
* Handle guest feedback professionally,
resolving issues quickly and effectively
* Ensure full compliance with health &
safety, food hygiene, and licensing regulations
Experience
& Skills Required
* Proven experience as a General Manager (or
senior Deputy ready to step up) in a high-volume restaurant, pub, or
premium hospitality venue
* Strong commercial awareness with a track
record of meeting financial targets
* Excellent leadership, organisational, and
communication skills
* Strong food and beverage knowledge, including
allergens and dietary requirements
* Confident understanding of wine, beer,
cocktails, and coffee
* Food hygiene certification (preferred)
