Welcome to volunteering at the Trust. Our Volunteer Welcome Session at Sims Bridge Hut, 8th July, 11:00-13:00 is a great way to find out what volunteering at the Trust is like, meet other volunteers, and hear about the range of activities you can get involved with, such as Volunteer Bridge Keeping.
If you're interested or eager to get involved, this event is for you. Stepping into a new team can be daunting for some, so you'll have the opportunity to meet some of us and get more information about what's involved. Opportunities can be done from home or on the towpath (or water) and may be managed by local, regional, or national teams. If you have questions, you'll find out what you need to know.

We offer a variety of accessible volunteer opportunities that can make a significant impact on your local canal.
What you will be doing
* Participating in one-off taster events, including our Welcome Sessions
* Litter Picking
* Let’s activities on the water and on the towpath
* When registering as a volunteer, we will ask about any unspent convictions to declare and will conduct a risk assessment as needed.
The skills you need
* This role is designed without requiring specific skills or training. By participating, you'll learn about other roles where training may be necessary or available to help build your skills. No formal skills are required.
