Facilities Manager — Position Overview:

* Oversee all aspects of the firm’s facilities operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant management of the premises
* Manage leases, rent, rates, maintenance, and repairs across the firm’s buildings
* Coordinate refurbishments, space planning, and office moves
* Oversee service contracts for catering, cleaning, and off-site file storage
* Ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation and best practices
* Manage budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities
* Liaise with stakeholders, suppliers, and staff to ensure a seamless facilities service
* Lead the general office team and manage relationships with contractors
* Develop and implement sustainability and energy-efficiency initiatives

Requirements of the Facilities Manager:

* Previous experience in a professional services or legal environment (essential)
* Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills
* Proven ability to manage budgets and negotiate supplier contracts
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
* Knowledge of building systems, maintenance, and relevant legislation
* Ability to motivate and manage a small team effectively
* Professional, proactive, and detail-oriented approach
