Role Overview
We are a Global Recruitment specialist that provides support to the clients across EMEA, APAC, US and Canada.
THE BANK is seeking a Lab Support/Management Specialist to oversee and maintain the technical lab environments required for the OpenShift infrastructure migration project. This role ensures that development, testing, and staging environments are properly configured, available, and compliant with the bank's security and operational standards. The position involves managing lab resources, supporting engineering teams, and enabling smooth delivery of project milestones.
Key Responsibilities:
Lab Environment Setup & Maintenance:
o Provision and configure lab environments for OpenShift implementation and testing.
o Manage underlying infrastructure (compute, storage, networking) for lab systems.
o Ensure lab environments mirror production architecture for accurate validation.
Access & Resource Management:
o Control user access to lab environments in compliance with the bank security policies.
o Monitor resource utilization and optimize lab capacity.
Support & Troubleshooting:
o Provide technical support to engineers and SMEs using the lab.
o Diagnose and resolve environment-related issues promptly.
Automation & Efficiency:
o Implement automation for lab provisioning, scaling, and teardown.
o Collaborate with Automation Engineers to streamline lab operations.
Compliance & Governance:
o Ensure lab environments adhere to the bank's IT governance, security, and regulatory standards.
o Maintain audit-ready documentation of lab configurations and changes.
Collaboration:
o Work closely with Infrastructure Engineers, OpenShift Administrators, and DevOps teams.
o Support integration testing and validation activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Hands-on experience in lab environment setup and management for enterprise projects.
Strong knowledge of virtualization platforms, storage, and networking.
Familiarity with OpenShift, Kubernetes, and containerized environments.
Proficiency in automation tools (eg, Ansible, Terraform) for environment provisioning.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Understanding of IT security standards and compliance frameworks.
