* Contract: 37.5 hours - Flexible availability and on-call; one 7.5-hour office shift per month
* Shifts in service include 10-hour shifts (09:00-19:00), 12-hour shifts (08:00-20:00), 14-hour shifts (08:00-22:00), and 15-hour shifts plus Sleep-in (08:00-23:00-08:00)

Applicants with experience as Care Team Leaders or Senior Support Workers holding an NVQ/QCF in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) are preferred. However, dedicated Care Assistants or Carers with a solid track record and ambition to progress are encouraged to apply. Lifeways provides excellent training and ongoing development opportunities.
As a Team Leader, you will lead and motivate support workers to ensure the delivery of excellent person-centred care, supporting individuals to live fulfilling and independent lives.
Your responsibilities include staff recruitment, supervision, staff development, and providing guidance and expertise. You will need excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with staff, service users, and external professionals, along with good written communication and IT skills for record-keeping.
The role involves supporting the Manager in running a busy 15-bed flat scheme for adults with learning disabilities. Tasks include medication and finance audits, health and safety checks, attending meetings and training, staff supervisions, appraisals, and managing correspondence via email.
We support individuals with diverse needs, ages, and levels of independence. Some are volunteers or employed locally. Staff assist with meal preparation and support individuals in achieving their personal goals.
Our service is conveniently located near Stafford’s town centre, offering opportunities to work or volunteer within the community. We prioritize person-centered approaches, listening to individuals' needs, and encouraging community involvement. Activities include trips to Drayton Manor Park, Trent Gardens, Stafford Leisure Centre, and local entertainment venues.
