Health and Safety Officer (Part-Time)

14.5 hours / 2 days per week (Permanent)
Salary:
The starting salary is £35,000 per annum pro rata (full time equivalent), which equates to £14,000 per annum for the two days worked.

Role Overview:
Are you a qualified Health and Safety professional seeking a flexible part-time role? We are looking for a Health and Safety Officer to lead and coordinate health and safety initiatives across multiple office locations. This is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a well-established professional services firm.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leading health and safety activities across all offices
2. Delivering induction, refresher, and management training
3. Coordinating DSE assessments and follow-ups
4. Managing risk assessments and incident reporting
5. Overseeing fire safety, electrical compliance, asbestos, and legionella controls
6. Supporting property maintenance and office refurbishments with H&S advice
7. Providing practical, up-to-date guidance on HSE legislation
Candidate Requirements:
1. At least 2 years’ experience in a health and safety role
2. NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent qualification (Fire Safety/Asbestos certifications desirable)
3. Strong organisational and communication skills
4. Ability to work independently and travel to regional offices
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office
6. Full UK driving licence and access to own transport
