Social Work Assistant
Job description
To help deliver our vision we are looking for Social Worker assistants who are enthusiastic, have a keen eye for detail and have a strong track record of working with children, young people and their families to achieve positive outcomes. Join one of our Children's Social Care teams and you will play a key role in improving the life for families and children in Leicester.

These are part time posts with core working hours of 8.30am till 5.00pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am till 4.30pm on Friday.
What you'll be doing
As a Social Work assistant, you'll support the emotional, social and physical wellbeing of children in need of support and protection. This is done though arranging and supervising contacts, appointments and activities. You will not only regularly liaise with parents/careers to provide information, advice and support. But, with additional agencies to organise/arrange support and share information.
You will also complete a variety of administrative tasks to support the statutory functioning of the service. This could be legal papers, records, and case files. All which require attention to detail and thorough completion.
What you'll need
You'll have previous experience of providing services directly to children and/or families. Including, experience of supporting children/families with matters that are sensitive and/or contentious. Being able to support and develop young people understanding their specific needs.
Since you will be attending visits you will also need to hold a Full driving licence.
