Our New England Structures team is looking for a Structural Engineer to work on complex transportation projects across the VHB footprint.


* Work on major bridge and other complex transportation projects
* Provide technical support/mentorship to junior structural engineering staff
* Perform oversight of engineering design for bridges and other transportation infrastructure
* Prepare construction documents, including plans, specifications, estimates and calculation.
* Perform quality reviews of project construction documents, engineering reports, etc.

Skills And Attributes

* Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail
* AutoCAD Civil 3D, and/or MicroStation experience
* Must possess strong project management and technical skills
* Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
* Familiarity with bridge design and detailing (steel, concrete, prestressed concrete) and seismic analysis
* Familiarity with structural engineering software (AASHTOware, LARSA 4D, MDX, midas Bridge, Mathcad, etc.)

Qualifications

* 5-8 years of experience in Bridge/Transportation projects in New England
* B.S. Civil Engineering (structural emphasis preferred) (1-2 years may be substituted for a master’s degree)
* Master’s degree a plus
* PE license required
