<div><h3>Community Phlebotomist</h3><p>The closing date is 29 June 2026.</p><p>We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, enthusiastic Phlebotomist to work with the Community Nursing Teams in the Chesterfield locality.</p><p>We are a small and friendly team sitting within the larger Community Nursing teams. There are a number of bases in Chesterfield, which can be negotiated on appointment but the post covers the whole Chesterfield locality with work planned geographically.</p><p>We have options of part‑ or full‑time positions; our services cover 5 days a week between 9 am and 5 pm. Working days can be flexible and will be discussed at interview. This post does not require working weekends.</p><p>Ability to travel between any site where DCHS services are provided is essential.</p><h3>Main duties of the job</h3><p>Our team focuses on providing excellent patient‑centred care to people within their own homes and in clinic settings. You will perform venepuncture and other phlebotomy procedures, record results accurately, and support the community nursing teams in delivering evidence‑based clinical care.</p><h3>Person Specification</h3><p><b>Education, Qualifications and Training</b></p><ul><li>GCSE English Level C/Level 4 or above (or equivalent)</li><li>NVQ Level 2 Health/Social Care</li></ul><p><b>Experience and Knowledge Required</b></p><ul><li>Worked in a healthcare setting</li><li>Willing to undertake the Care Certificate</li><li>Venepuncture trained</li><li>Experience working in community setting</li><li>IT experience – examples of systems used</li><li>Willingness to learn to use System 1 EPR</li><li>Previous use of electronic patient records</li></ul><p><b>Skills and Attributes</b></p><ul><li>Able to work on own initiative or as part of a team</li><li>Ability to organise and prioritise tasks</li><li>Good verbal and written communication skills</li></ul><h3>Eligibility and Background Checks</h3><p>This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and a Disclosure and Barring Service check will be required.</p><h3>Location</h3><p>Derbyshire Community Health Services NHSFT – Chesterfield (base negotiable, main base at Walton).</p></div>
