Job Purpose:
To assist dentists and other dental professionals in providing high-quality care to patients, while working towards a Level 3 Dental Nurse qualification. The apprentice will learn and develop skills to support clinical procedures, maintain high standards of infection control, and deliver excellent patient care in a dental practice environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Chairside Assistance:
* Support the dentist during a wide range of dental procedures.
* Prepare and maintain dental materials, instruments, and equipment.
* Ensure patients are comfortable and supported during treatment.
2. Infection Control:
* Follow strict cross-infection protocols and procedures.
* Sterilise instruments and maintain a clean and safe clinical environment.
* Adhere to practice health and safety policies and CQC standards.
3. Patient Care & Administration:
* Welcome patients and provide reassurance throughout their treatment.
* Record and update patient information accurately.
* Assist with booking appointments and handling patient queries.
4. Learning & Development:
* Attend all training sessions as required by the apprenticeship provider.
* Complete coursework, exams, and assessments in a timely manner.
* Seek and respond to feedback to improve performance and skills.

Qualifications & Entry Requirements:
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade C/4 or above
* Must meet eligibility requirements for apprenticeship funding.
* No previous dental experience required – full training provided.
Job Type: Apprenticeship
Pay: £12.21-£12.30 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
