Location: Westburn, 116 Westburn Road Aberdeen

Duration: Permanent, Part Time

Roles that require PVG Membership

\n

Please note that with effect from 1 April 2023, where a role requires PVG membership, candidates will be required to meet the cost of the PVG membership. This applies only to roles with a full time equivalent salary of £30,000 and above. (Teaching roles and jobs at Grade 11 and above (currently £30,285 per annum / £16.64 per hour)

\n

The Council will pay for the PVG membership cost initially, either £18 for existing PVG scheme members, or £59 for non-members, and this cost will be deducted from an employee’s first FULL month’s salary payment.

\n

Job purpose/about the role

\n

An exciting opportunity to provide administrative support to those working directly with care experienced young people, New Scots, and the wider Children's Social Work Service. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative, IT and financial skills.\n\nHours of work are flexible, however we would prefer the successful candidate to work 08:30 - 17:00 Monday and Tuesday, and one additional afternoon per week.

The post holder needs to hold as a minimum:
\n
* Educated to National 4 level or equivalent
\n
The postholder is able to demonstrate:
\n
* Office administration
\n
* Working with others co-operatively and flexibly to achieve better services and customer-focused outcomes
\n
* Using a variety of IT packages
\n
* Organising and prioritising own workload
\n
