Quality & Environmental Engineer (Compliance Focus)

Brellis Recruitment is working with a well-established, UK manufacturing business based in Leamington Spa, who are looking to appoint a Quality & Environmental Engineer to support their site compliance and management systems.
This is a fantastic opportunity for either a graduate with relevant exposure or a junior to mid-level engineer looking to develop their career within quality, environmental and regulatory compliance.
The Quality & Environmental Engineer Role
Working closely with the Head of Quality, you will play a key role in ensuring the site maintains compliance with quality and environmental standards, as well as customer and regulatory requirements.
This is a systems and compliance-focused role, with involvement across audits, documentation, and continuous improvement of management systems.
Key Quality & Environmental Engineer Responsibilities
* Support and maintain ISO 9001 (Quality) and ISO 14001 (Environmental) management systems
* Assist with compliance to regulatory and customer requirements (e.g. REACH, RoHS, IMDS, COSHH)
* Coordinate and support internal and external audits, including preparation and follow-up actions
* Maintain accurate compliance documentation, records, and submissions
* Support New Product Introduction (NPI) with compliance and regulatory input
* Liaise with suppliers to obtain and validate material declarations and certifications
* Contribute to quality and environmental reporting, including KPI tracking
* Work closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality, and Health & Safety
About You
* Degree qualified in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or similar)
* Experience or exposure to quality and/or environmental management systems
* Knowledge of ISO 9001 (essential) and/or ISO 14001 (desirable)
* Understanding of compliance or regulatory requirements within manufacturing
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
* Good communication skills and the ability to work across teams
Desirable (but not essential)
* Exposure to IATF 16949 (automotive standard)
* Experience with IMDS or material compliance systems
* Internal or external audit experience
* Knowledge of NPI / APQP processes
