What will you be doing?
As a Buying Apprentice,you’llbe part of the team that plans and selects the products our customers love – both in-store and online.You’ll:
1. Work closely with suppliers to delivercompetitive, compelling offers.
2. Learn every aspect of the Buying Assistant role, from product selection to pricing and promotions.
3. Gain insight into merchandising, stock management, and market trends.

You'llstudy for a Level4apprenticeshipin Buying andMerchandising(equivalent to a higher BTEC qualification). Delivered overtwoyears through blended learning, the programme combines experience with online learning modules, lectures, and face-to-face tuition.We will of course, cover your costs and make sure you have time off to study.

10. 104 UCAS points/ Level 3 qualification
11. No formal experience needed, just a willingness to learn
12. Basic computer literacy and internet familiarity
13. Good communication and collaboration skills

16. A half-day assessment centre, where you will meet the team and find out more about the programme.
If you are successful, we will ask you to come and join ASDA in September 2026.
