Electrician
Location: Bristol
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Annual Salary: Up to £44,000 per annum

Hours: 42.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm)
About the Role
We are recruiting for an experienced Electrician to join our Bristol team, working across a mixture of occupied and void domestic properties. This is a hands‑on role covering reactive repairs, planned maintenance, and installation works.
You will be responsible for ensuring properties remain safe, compliant, and fit for residents, working to high standards while delivering a professional and customer‑focused service. This role offers long‑term stability, a consistent workload, and the opportunity to be part of a team making a real difference within the community.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out reactive electrical repairs including lighting, sockets, fuse boards, and associated systems
* Inspect, test, and certify electrical installations in line with current regulations
* Repair or replace faulty electrical components such as switches, outlets, circuit breakers, and fittings
* Undertake installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair work across domestic properties
* Use IT systems or handheld devices to manage and prioritise daily workload
* Communicate clearly with residents, explaining works completed and any follow‑on actions
* Maintain clean, safe, and tidy working environments at all times
* Work independently or collaboratively to meet service targets
* Respond to emergency call‑outs and participate in out‑of‑hours work where required
* Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures
* Deliver consistently high standards of customer care
Role Criteria
* NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations (including AM2)
* City & Guilds 18th Edition (17th Edition considered if working towards 18th)
* Inspection & Testing qualification 2391 or equivalent (2394/2395)
* Previous experience working in domestic or social housing environments
* Full UK driving licence
* Strong fault‑finding skills and the ability to work independently

To drive a company vehicle, candidates must be 21 or over, have held a licence for at least 3 months, and have fewer than 9 points.
