Job Title: Secondary School Teaching Assistant
Location: Wirral, Merseyside
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term Time Only
Are you passionate about supporting young people in their education? Do you have the drive to make a difference in a secondary school environment? We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join schools across the Wirral with immediate start opportunities available.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide in-class support to students, including those with additional needs
* Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom management
* Deliver targeted interventions to small groups or individuals
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
* Monitor and report on student progress and behaviour
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience working with children or young people (preferably in a school setting)
* A proactive, patient, and adaptable approach
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A genuine passion for education and student development
* A valid enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one)
Desirable (but not essential)
* Relevant TA qualification (e.g. Level 2 or 3)
* Experience supporting students with SEN or behavioural needs
