Role Details
* Position: Technical Manager
* Location: Derby Arena and other Derby City Council venues
* Salary: Grade H £37,280 - £39,862 a year
* Hours: 37 hours a week
* Type: Permanent
Responsibilities
* Oversee all technical aspects of events, including sound, lighting, AV, and staging.
* Manage in-house technicians, freelancers, and contractors to deliver top‑tier productions.
* Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure seamless event execution.
* Maintain and upgrade cutting‑edge technical equipment.
* Work with clients and event planners to design and execute unforgettable experiences.
* Ensure all productions meet health & safety and compliance standards.
Qualifications & Experience
* Expertise in audio, lighting, AV, and event production.
* Strong people‑management skills, able to lead teams with confidence.
* Ability to think fast and problem‑solve in a live event environment.
* Knowledge of health & safety regulations and best practices.
* Passion for pushing the boundaries of event technology.
