These tutoring roles are ideal for experienced educators or support staff who are confident delivering personalised learning sessions to students with a range of additional needs outside of a traditional classroom setting. Tutors will be supporting learners of different ages and abilities, including those with Autism/ASD, ADHD, SEMH needs, learning difficulties, and students who may be out of mainstream education. Sessions are typically delivered on a 1:1 basis, either in the home, community settings, or local learning environments. The successful SEND Tutor will have: Experience working 1:1 with children or young people Previous experience supporting learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students A patient, adaptable, and creative approach to supporting learning Formal teaching qualifications are not essential; however, relevant experience working with SEND students is required.
