This role will support one of the most complex and high-profile infrastructure programmes in the UK today, helping to establish a structured approach to improving cost performance, identifying value opportunities and supporting more efficient delivery across a major programme environment. As a Project Controls Cost Improvement Lead, you’ll play a key role within a nationally significant infrastructure programme that will shape the UK’s long-term energy landscape. This is a unique opportunity to design, implement and embed a structured cost improvement framework, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to identify, quantify and realise opportunities across the project lifecycle. You'll · Lead the development and implementation of a structured cost improvement framework across the Programme. · Establish procedures, processes, tools, reporting and training to support consistent delivery of cost improvement activity. · Work closely with Project Controls, Delivery, Finance, HR and Supply Chain teams to ensure alignment with existing processes. · Facilitate cost improvement workshops and reviews with multidisciplinary teams. · Identify, quantify, track and report potential and realised cost efficiencies, value opportunities and avoided cost impacts across the programme lifecycle. About You Essential · Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline such as finance, engineering, project management or construction. · Proven experience implementing processes and systems on large, complex infrastructure projects. · Strong understanding of Project Controls and cost management principles. · Experience facilitating workshops and working with multidisciplinary teams. · Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. · Delivery-focused and solutions-driven mindset. Desirable skill: · Lean Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement experience. · Experience within Project Controls assurance activities. · Knowledge of NEC and/or FIDIC contracts. · Professional membership such as AACE, APM or PMI. · Experience working in nuclear or highly regulated environments.
