Science and Design Technology Teacher Job Vacancy Role: Science and Design Technology Teacher Location: North Birmingham Starting date: ASAP Salary: MPS1 - MPS6 per day, DOE Contract: Long-term cover (until July 2026) Working hours: Full time, 8:30am - 3:30pm (Monday to Friday) Science and Design Technology Teacher Specification We are seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Dual Science and Design Technology Teacher to join a vibrant and supportive secondary school in North Birmingham. This full-time role begins in November 2025 and offers an exciting opportunity to teach across two key subject areas that inspire creativity, innovation, and curiosity in students. The successful candidate will be confident delivering General Science across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, as well as Design Technology (specialisms in Food Technology, Resistant Materials, Product Design, or Engineering are welcomed). You will plan and deliver engaging lessons that combine scientific understanding with practical design thinking, encouraging students to apply their knowledge to real-world challenges.
