Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking full-time Support Workers to join our team in Chelmsford.
As a Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will work with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs.
Responsibilities include assisting with daily activities, providing emotional support, supporting independence, and helping with tasks such as cooking, cleaning, shopping, and attending appointments. There will be some moving and handling involved.
You will work with a small, experienced team who have known the individuals for years.
What we're looking for:
* A genuine passion for supporting others.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
Contract options:
* Full-time: 37.5 hours
Shift times:
* All services are 24-hour care. Rota planning is done at least 4 weeks in advance.
* Days: 07:00-14:30, 09:00-18:00, or 14:30-22:00
* Sleep-in shifts (22:00-07:00) available with an enhanced rate of £63.70.
*All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references.
