Description Join NOV as a Buyer – Help Power Global Progress Are you a procurement professional with a sharp eye for value and a passion for building strong supplier relationships? NOV is looking for a Buyer to join our dynamic Pumps Procurement team. This role is a critical part of ensuring our supply chain runs efficiently and supports world-class operations in energy and industrial solutions. What You’ll Do As a Buyer at NOV, you will: Review material, parts, and service requests and issue RFQs to approved suppliers. Analyze quotes and negotiate to ensure optimal value in terms of cost, quality, and delivery. Place purchase orders while maintaining compliance with company policies and ethical standards. Track and expedite orders to meet operational timelines. Support supplier qualification, audits, and ongoing performance evaluation. Collaborate with internal teams (Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, Operations) to forecast demand and ensure timely procurement. Develop supplier KPIs and track cost-saving opportunities. Lead or support contract negotiations in collaboration with Procurement leadership. Use data to inform decisions and improve procurement outcomes. What We’re Looking For Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree plus 2–5 years of procurement experience OR 6 years of relevant experience without a degree. APICS/MCIPS or Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred (or willingness to obtain). Experience in raw materials or machined parts buying is an advantage. Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (JDE preferred). Skills & Competencies Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills. Ability to read and interpret technical documentation (e.g., machine drawings, specifications). Strong data analysis and Excel proficiency. Comfortable managing multiple priorities and working cross-functionally. High integrity, sound judgment, and strategic thinking mindset.
