Youll be responsible for:Programming PLCs (ladder logic) for waterjet cutting machinerySupporting the transition of new products into full productionOptimising cycle times, machine utilisation, and throughputCollaborating with production, design, quality, and senior engineeringTroubleshooting and continuously improving automated systemsDriving manufacturing efficiency as automation investment expandsThis is not a purely desk-based role
youll be hands-on with equipment, working with the wider engineering team to ensure cutting programs, tooling, and product flow are fully aligned.What Were Looking ForYou dont need to come from automotive, but youdoneed strong PLC experience.Proven PLC programming skillsA background in manufacturing engineering (any sector considered)Experience with automation, CNC, robotics, controls, or similarConfident troubleshooting and solving complex production challengesAble to communicate effectively with shop-floor teams and leadershipWaterjet cutting experience isnt required
