Job Description
* Manage and oversee a portfolio of trust accounts, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
* Provide expert tax advice to clients, addressing complex queries with accuracy and professionalism.
* Prepare and review tax returns for trusts, estates, and individuals as required.
* Assist with the administration of trusts, including drafting trust accounts and maintaining accurate records.
* Stay up-to-date on changes in tax legislation and advise clients accordingly.
* Collaborate with colleagues in the tax department to deliver seamless client service.
* Support junior staff with training and development in trust and tax matters.
* Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices where applicable.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Trust & Tax Manager should have:
* Professional qualifications in tax or accountancy (e.g., CTA, ACA, ACCA, STEP).
* Strong technical knowledge of trust and tax compliance requirements.
* Experience managing a portfolio of trust accounts and providing tax advisory services.
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to communicate effectively with both clients and colleagues.
* Proficiency in relevant accounting and tax software.
