Job Description
As an Area Inspector Support, you will assist the Area Inspection team to ensure compliance with industry and corporate standards. You will work with the P66 Humber Refinery Mechanical Integrity team, collaborating with team members and following supervision priorities.
Responsibilities
1. Enter and review inspection data for onstream and turnaround fixed equipment and piping.
2. Conduct examinations during onstream and turnarounds within authorized limits, following Written Schemes.
3. Perform health checks on the Inspection Data Management System (PCMS), resolve issues, and ensure data is up-to-date.
4. Support the generation and management of inspection plans in accordance with standards and best practices.
5. Manage Inspection Work Requests (IWRs), including creation, deferral, and closure within PCMS and ARC systems.
6. Assist in onboarding and training new Inspection Contractors and coordinate field activities.
7. Collaborate with Mechanical Integrity team members, including inspectors, project teams, and contractors.
8. Maintain strong relationships with refinery business teams and participate in team meetings.
9. Report to and prioritize workload under the guidance of the Senior Area Inspector.
Qualifications
Basic/Required
* Legal right to work in the UK without restrictions.
* Experience in the refining or petrochemical industry.
* Knowledge of pressure vessel and piping inspection activities.
* Ability to interpret inspection reports and assess NDE reports and qualifications.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
* Experience working within safe practices on a top-tier COMAH site.
* Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
* Certifications such as API-510, API-570, API-653, or equivalent.
* Knowledge of safety regulations (PSSR, PESR, PED), RBI methods, and industry standards.
* Experience with ISO17020 accreditation, PCMS, electronic reporting tools, and refinery systems.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
