Group Auditprovides independent assurance to the Board over the highest areas of risk across theGroup, reporting on the effectiveness of the Group’s control and governance processes. We arefocused ondriving innovationthroughgreateruse ofdata,AIandautomation, and are looking fora new colleagueto join ourspecialistAI, Data & Engineering(AIDE)team.
The successful candidate willhave apassion forapplying datasciencetechniques to new scenarios,supportingdelivery of our audit plan, providinginsights, and drivinginnovation within Group Audit. This is a hands-on and varied role within a skilled team of data scientists,engineersand auditors, highly visible to senior management and with exposure to the entire Group.

Day to day, you will:
1. Applyadvanced analyticsand data sciencetechniquestoevaluate the effectivenessof the Group’s control environment,providing assuranceandidentifyingdeficiencies.
2. Partneringwithotheraudit colleagues toassess risks and test controls,producing robust, defensible analyses,and help auditorstointerpretyour results.
3. Seek outopportunities to use innovative data science techniques,such asGenerative AI andMachine Learning,helping toidentifynew use cases andenhancingtheway we audit.
4. Establish relationships withourinternalaudit teams tofacilitatethe delivery ofdata science andanalytics,whilstlearning about theGroup’sbusinesses,risksand controls.
5. Promote the use of data science and analytics in audit, upskill audit colleagues in data analytics,and contribute to department-wide presentations.
6. Identifyopportunities for innovation, contribute to data science and analytics development projects,andhelp thefunction to be more data and AI driven.
7. Develop your knowledge of the Group’s strategy, products & markets andbe responsible foryour own professional development.

What we're looking for:
8. 2-3 years' experience delivering datascience andanalytics to support audits. Alternatively, experience using datascience and analyticsin a non-audit rolewithhave a proven grasp ofinternalaudit or riskmanagement.
9. Abilityto understand business processes,risksand controls,dealingwith ambiguity to ensure you deliverassurance andinsights that make a difference.
10. Proficiencyin SQL and Python, with experienceusingbothina work context.
11. Knowledge ofdatabase and data warehouse concepts,analyticsandcoredata sciencetechniques.
12. Knowledge ofvisualisationtechniques.
13. Experience presenting technical topics and complex analysis to a non-technical audience.
And any of these would be great:
14. Experience with machine learning,Generative AIandGoogle Cloud Platform (GCP)is desirable.
15. Experience with Power BI is desirable.
