Family Practitioner Wakefield Early Behaviour Support Service (WEBSS)
Location: Hybrid – Kids (Yorkshire), The Active Centre, Castleford (WF10 3UA)
Salary: £12,432 per annum
Hours: Part-time – 18 hours per week including occasional group sessions (4pm–6pm, up to 2 days per week – flexible working discussed at interview)
Essential: Full driving licence

At WEBSS (Wakefield Early Behaviour Support Service), we take a unique, compassionate approach to supporting the emotional wellbeing of children aged 5–10 who experience anxiety or low mood linked to autism or other neurodevelopmental conditions (diagnosed or not).

About The Role
As a Family Practitioner, you’ll:
* Create a safe, nurturing environment for children and young people aged 5–10
* Support parents and carers to build confidence and connect with others
* Work collaboratively with professionals across health, education, social care, and specialist services
* Deliver and support parent training workshops and interventions
* Help develop colleagues, volunteers, and those with lived experience
* Ensure the safeguarding and wellbeing of children and young people at all times
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who is:
* Confident supporting neurodivergent children, including those who may communicate distress in different ways
* A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
* Organised, proactive, and able to manage their own workload effectively
* Resilient, empathetic, and passionate about supporting families
* Able to work both independently and as part of a team
