Role Purpose
The Dyfodol Offender Interventions Service is an integrated partnership provision for South Wales, including public sector prisons such as HMP Cardiff, HMP Swansea, HMP Usk/Prescoed, and HMP Parc. The service aims to address the causes of drug and alcohol-related offending and mitigate risks to individuals, families, peers, and communities through assessment, engagement, and diversion of offenders into appropriate interventions. The goal is to support the reduction of drug and alcohol misuse and offending levels, demonstrating evidence-based best practices across all services.
Job Details
* Hours: 37.5 hours per week
* Salary: £26,786.93 per annum
* Location: HMP Swansea
Additional Information
The service involves developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with various organizations to support the work of the three Area Planning Boards (Western Bay, Cardiff the Vale, and Cwm Taf Morgannwg). It also provides support for adult offenders and prisoners with drug and/or alcohol dependencies residing within the seven local authority areas of South Wales (Swansea, Neath Port Talbot, Bridgend, Cardiff, Vale of Glamorgan, Rhondda Cynon Taf, and Merthyr Tydfil).
