Solution Integration Engineer

Join us as an Solution Integration Engineer at Dedalus, one of the World’s leading healthcare technology companies, as part of our System Integration Team working to deliver laboratory integration and interoperability solutions within the UK and Ireland Healthcare sector.

What you’ll achieve

You will be responsible of the end-to-end design, delivery and second line support of laboratory interoperability solutions ranging from point-to-point interfaces through to interoperability as part of a fully integrated health care platform.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an integration team of over twenty dedicated integration analysts with the laboratory integration analyst role specializing in the delivery of interoperability solutions for healthcare laboratory customer sites involving application-to-application integration, laboratory analyser, data manger and point-of-care device integration and integration engine configuration in conjunction with Dedalus laboratory products (iLAB Apex, iLAB Telepath, Dedalus LIMS).

Working with an extended highly skilled team, you will be making a profound impact throughout the healthcare sector.

You will:

1. To carry out technical analysis, design, configuration, testing, data mapping and implementation activities of interface work packages for interoperability with the Dedalus product portfolio.
2. Generate first-of-type Dedalus integration work packages and strategic “gold-build” interface solutions to achieve interoperability with the new strategic Dedalus products.
3. To assist with the full range of testing activities and associated documentation production, for both internal tests and customer acceptance tests. Utilizing technical skills to create test stubs and test harnesses as required for interfaces.
4. To evaluate requested changes for existing interface work packages and create specifications according to established standards and procedures in a timely manner.
5. To assist the Project, Support and Customer Services colleagues by trouble shooting integration customer support issues, especially when they pose a clinical risk.
6. To review product release notices and carry out impact analysis of product upgrades on interfaces as required.

Essential Requirements

7. Preference for Education to Degree Level in Information Management, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration in the specialized Application, or related field is required.
8. Solid experience in Healthcare
9. Communication protocols and standard messaging structures (HL7,TCP/IP, ASTM)
10. Ideal experience in Intersystem Cache, however, consideration will be given to candidates having no previous experience of Intersystem Cache, with appropriate training
11. Database knowledge and working experience (e.g. Oracle, MS SQL,Mumps)
12. Ability to create and interpret logical and physical data models
13. Experience analysing and supporting complex integrated IT solutions

Desired Requirements

14. Domain expertise in the private and/or public laboratory health industry.
15. Experience working in a healthcare environment, implementing, or otherwise working closely with healthcare application systems
16. Experience of Intersystems Cache (versions 2010, 2015, 2017, 2018)
17. Business Analysis qualification or experience
18. Clinical, technical or business change experience in a discipline relevant to Dedalus customer base in the UKI
19. In-depth knowledge of Dedalussystems and solutions
