We are looking for a catering and welfare assistant who: Has experience of working in a busy kitchen environment. Has current knowledge of safe working practices in catering. Is happy to be trained on all positions within the kitchen team, from the tin sink to the dishwasher, from the food waste table to helping the catering manager serve the food. Is physically able to set up and pack down folded tables and benches, prior to and post lunchtimes. Can supervise pupils’ play activities during their lunchtime Can organise and clean play equipment, ensuring safe storage Can maintain standards of behaviour that comply with the school behaviour policy Can supervise the transition of pupils from internal to external areas Can prepare games and activities Can carry out general First Aid duties and attend training as required Can demonstrate own duties to new or less experienced staff Is a strong, resilient team player with high levels of emotional intelligence, positivity, and a good sense of humour.
