Southampton Clinical Trials Unit
Location: Hybrid – There is a requirement to work in the office at Southampton at least 60% of contracted hours.
Salary: Level 4
Contract: Full time – Fixed Term for 24 months (part time may be considered at 0.8 FTE).
Position Summary: The Southampton Clinical Trials Unit (CTU), based at Southampton General Hospital, manages a growing portfolio of multi‑centre clinical trials that will directly influence routine clinical practice. Due to new grant awards we have a vacancy for a Trial Manager to join the existing team to develop and manage one or more trials. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with previous clinical trials experience to join a CTU which has full registration status from the UK Clinical Research Collaboration (UKCRC).
Responsibilities and Duties
Develop and manage one or more clinical trials, ensuring adherence to GCP, regulatory requirements, and study protocols.
Requirements
Significant experience of clinical trials in the NHS or the commercial health research sector. Excellent organisational and communication skills. Good understanding and knowledge of GCP and clinical trial regulations.
