What You’ll Be Doing
* Leading audits from planning to completion, ensuring high-quality service for clients.
* Managing a varied portfolio of clients, building strong, long-term relationships.
* Reviewing the work of junior auditors and providing guidance and support to help them develop.
* Monitoring performance of audit delivery against agreed KPIs and reporting on this, including the provision of potential solutions to issues.
* Identifying areas for client improvement and offering value-added advice.
* Reviewing financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP and IFRS.
* Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of changes in audit and accounting regulations.
* Managing a team, overseeing performance, and supporting their career development.
* Assisting the Audit Partners in developing the department, proposals for new work and performance improvement.
What We’re Looking For
* Audit experience gained in a UK accountancy practice (essential).
* ACA or ACCA part-qualified / qualified (or equivalent) is desirable.
* Strong knowledge of UK audit standards and financial reporting.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
* Ideally, you’ll have experience of supervising, leading and mentoring less experienced staff.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving, with a keen eye for detail.
* Ability to work independently as well as within a team, managing your time effectively.
* A passion for professional growth and development.
