Here at Teaching Personnel, we’re looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our friendly Christchurch schools. You’ll play a key part in creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where every child can thrive. You’ll work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide 1:1 and small group support, adapting activities to meet individual learning needs and celebrating each child’s progress—no matter how big or small! Responsibilities Support children with a range of additional or complex needs, helping them engage and succeed in their learning. Provide 1:1 or small group support, encouraging confidence, independence, and social skills. Work collaboratively with teachers and SENCOs to implement tailored learning strategies. Create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment. Monitor and record pupil progress, sharing feedback to support individual development. Qualifications & Skills Must be a UK resident. Previous experience working with children with SEN (e.g. autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties) is desirable but not essential. A caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children’s learning. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Reliable, flexible, and passionate about making a real difference.
