Job Description: Regional Sales Manager Field based Territory area – Cornwall-Dorset-Devon-Somerset- Bristol Salary £33,000-£35,000 dependent on experience Fixed term contract – 6 Months with a possibility for 12-month extension The purpose of this role is to drive profitable growth of Mars Horse care UK products via increased distribution and availability in the market. The role is key to creating mutual and sustainable working relationships with a variety of trade partners, including direct and in-direct retail accounts and wholesalers. What are we looking for? Previous sales experience Equine knowledge Excellent communication and time management skills Comfortable working effectively either alone or in a small team. Experience using Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and CRM’s Numerate and financially literate with a sound commercial sense and bottom- line focus. Full driving licence. The role is field based and requires driving and standing with customers during calls/training. There is the need to occasionally lift 20kg bags of horse feed What would be your key responsibilities? Consult with and sell nutritional products to professional competitors and leisure owners, by providing the best nutritional solutions to meet customers’ expectations. Establish, develop and maintain productive and constructive relationships with each key customer. Maximize the profitable distribution and availability of Mars Horse care products throughout all retail outlets in the region. Encourage and educate trade partners in good store management – stock control/rotation, category management and product knowledge. Achieve targets for the business in the region – volume, revenue and product mix with the focus on profitable growth by providing proactive account management to all trade partners in the region. Participate in sales management processes, including goals, targets, KPIs and best practice What can you expect from Mars?
