Contract:Full-time, Monday to Friday, term-time only
Contract Length:Ongoing (with potential for temp-to-perm)
Pay: £89 - £100 per day
A thriving secondary school in the Tameside area is looking to appoint a compassionate and motivated Learning Support Assistantto work closely with pupils who require additional support. This may include pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs), or those needing pastoral mentoring.
Main Responsibilities:
Supporting students 1:1 and in small groups within lessons
Assisting with learning tasks set by the class teacher
Helping students overcome barriers to learning, both academic and emotional
Implementing SEN strategies and monitoring pupil progress
Working collaboratively with the SENCo and wider support team
Building strong, positive relationships with students to improve engagement and confidence
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
Has previous experience working with children or young people, ideally in a school or SEN setting
Is patient, approachable, and calm under pressure
Can adapt to the needs of different learners
Has good literacy and numeracy skills
Is passionate about inclusion and equal opportunities in education
Holds or is willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
