The purpose of this role is to play a key part in the audit team, ensuring that audit planning, fieldwork, and completion are performed to a sufficient standard, ultimately enabling Menzies to sign audit reports.
Responsibilities include:
1. Planning, execution, and completion of audits reporting to managers and partners.
2. Preparation of accounts, reports, and other assignments as required.
3. Coordinating planning with clients, including liaising with relevant departments within the firm.
4. Building relationships with clients and related third parties.
5. Leading on-site audit teams and completing jobs with minimal supervision, within deadlines and budget.
6. Business development, including promoting the firm and its services to existing clients and prospects.
7. Development and supervision of trainees.

Qualifications include:
* ACA / ACCA / CA qualified or part-qualified accountant (ICAEW, ICAS, Irish Institute, or equivalent international qualification).
* Recent experience in Audit and Assurance within an accountancy practice.
* Experience leading external audit assignments from planning to completion under International Standards on Auditing.
* Experience preparing accounts in accordance with UK GAAP.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong communication skills with senior staff and clients.
* Confident user of Microsoft Office suite, especially Word and Excel.
* Motivated to take responsibility and maintain high-quality service.
* Sound knowledge of key risks in audits and awareness of limitations and when to seek assistance.
