Overview
The HR & Training Officer will play a pivotal role in supporting the development and implementation of training programmes within the organisation whilst providing the HR and Compliance Manager an administrative support. This position requires a dynamic individual who can effectively communicate and collaborate with various departments, ensuring that resources are utilised efficiently to enhance employee and company performance and engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and support the coordination and implementation of training across the business and arrange new and refresher training both inhouse and external providers.
* Manage the Training Matrix and keep training files accurate and up to date.
* Review training costs and look for budget cost effective suppliers.
* Provide administrative support and maintain accurate and confidential HR documentation and databases across all areas of HR and payroll including onboarding, training and employee records.
* Administration of absence including sickness, maternity and other family friendly leave, closely monitoring the HR system and providing advice as and when.
* Assisting with adhoc HR project work including as development and implementation of HR policies and best practices as instructed by the HR & Compliance Manager.
* Assisting the team with employee relations cases, including preparing documentation, scheduling meetings and note taking
* Provide office administration support including stationary ordering, agency worker timesheets, Yard fuel supply and provide cover support in the absence of the Commercial Administrator.
* Management of office organisation and upkeep
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Qualifications, Skills, Experience, and Knowledge
* Level 3 CIPD Qualified
* Confident with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Good working knowledge of IT including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* A positive and enthusiastic person, with a proactive drive for excellence and innovation
* Able to work effectively as part of a team and independently
* Able to work under pressure and remain calm in challenging situations
* Proven experience in an administrative ands supportive roles
* Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
