About this opportunity
The PCM team provides corporate and institutional banking solutions to businesses of all sizes, in the UK and internationally, across Payments (including Merchant Services), Liquidity, Traded Products (FX) and Data. These solutions are grounded in an in-depth understanding of clients, a passion for enabling businesses to efficiently handle their liquidity, complete payments, mitigate their risks, fund trade flows and support growth.
We’re looking for an individual who is highly experienced in Cash and Payment Products, to lead a function of product specialists within the business, while also ensuring alignment to core regulatory requirements and compliance policies and delivering great customer outcomes.
You’ll work with a high energy team of product specialists, as well as key partners in other areas of the bank, to unlock growth whilst championing an environment of diversity and customer centric innovation, promoting new ways of working to deliver our broader purpose – Helping Britain Prosper.
Role Accountabilities
The Head of PCM will lead the product team and be responsible for designing and implementing our go to market strategy across our suite of products, with a significant growth opportunity for the Group. The solutions within this suite are well known while simultaneously facing rapid transformation and exciting digital transformation. The future of these products and Lloyds’ success in delivering these much-needed solutions to clients is reliant upon technological advancement, industry leadership and commercialisation.
As Head of PCM, you’ll work closely with team members to support BCB and CIB clients to access our products in a simple more stream-lined manner. Other accountabilities will include:
* Develop product strategy for corporate and institutional clients
* Implement strategy in collaboration with sales, coverage, group treasury, technology, operations, and other partners to foster business performance growth.
* Drive new product development across all CIB client segments
* Manage revenue, control costs, and optimise pricing performance.
* Set future strategy, considering industry trends, economic intelligence, customer behaviour, emerging technology, and regulatory requirements.
* Prioritise and deliver future investment needs, owning and delivering an investment portfolio alongside technology teams.
* Promote the bank’s profile externally through active industry engagement, thought leadership, media, and exhibiting.
* Lead all aspects of control and risk environment, driving the risk, legal, compliance, and audit agenda.
* Build and nurture a successful team that understands and embodies the Lloyds Banking Group’s Values and Behaviours and Strategy.
* Foster a culture of talent growth and succession planning within the business.
What you’ll need
* Deep understanding of payments, liquidity and receivables – and insight into the broader trends and changes impacting clients across the wider industry
* Proven track record of leadership, recognised at industry and market level, leading product teams and driving thought leadership in the industry.
* Extensive experience in product management for given product set
* Product Development experience, including working with internal and external partners on emerging innovations
* Proven track record in Financial Analysis and Risk Management
* Awareness of market trends, and the opportunities and threats that these present to customers and the bank, and the amendments required to the Group’s risk management framework
* Extensive stakeholder management experience, preferably in a large banking and financial services institution
* Knowledge and understanding of the Group, clients and insight into the broader market trends and changes impacting our clients and the wider industry
* Strong communicator with ability to distil complex themes into simple but highly effective messages
* Work collaboratively, successfully and influence networks at all levels across the organisation
* Experience in creation, implementation and management of strategic plans
* Flair for technology, digitisation and innovation is desirable
