Base pay range
Salary £37K - £42K depending on experience.
Permanent, full-time, site-based working hours: 07:00am - 15:00pm and 08:30am - 16:30pm on alternate weeks.
About the Role
We are seeking a HACCP and Auditing Specialist based in Rugby to support the delivery and administration of the site food safety programme. This role will focus on food safety analysis for the entire site and will develop and lead the site auditing calendar for internal and external audits.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage and maintain the site HACCP system and documentation.
2. Lead the internal food safety review calendar for product pack and process changes.
3. Coordinate all activities related to internal and external audits.
4. Control and rectify non-conformances identified during audits.
5. Manage corrective action plans for audit non-conformities.
6. Drive continuous improvement in site quality performance with a focus on food safety and HACCP.
7. Conduct HACCP training for operators and team members.
8. Develop and implement site hygiene and quality standards.
9. Support incident investigations, including product traceability, quarantines, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
10. Assist with the maintenance and calibration of quality equipment, liaising with third-party providers.
11. Ensure compliance with quality management systems, audits, change control, and SPC systems.
12. Contribute to developing site quality plans.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
* Proven communication skills adaptable to different audiences.
* Strong knowledge of food production processes and legislation.
* Proficiency in SAP is advantageous.
* Experience in food safety management and auditing.
* Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building, facilitation, and communication skills.
* Strong leadership capabilities.
* Experience in FMCG environment, particularly within a Quality function.
* Experience in developing and maintaining food quality management systems.

Qualifications
* Relevant degree or equivalent industry experience.
* HACCP intermediate level certification.
* Intermediate food hygiene certification.
* Lead auditor training.
