Overview

Pensions Assistant (5 Posts) role at Derbyshire County Council. Derbyshire Pension Fund is seeking to recruit 5 full-time established Pensions Assistants. Closing date: 14 September 2025.

The Pension Fund team administers the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) on behalf of approximately 90,000 members and over 350 participating employers. We are looking for someone to join our team of pensions administrators and help us to provide a quality administration service to Local Government Pension Scheme members and participating employers.


Responsibilities

* Demonstrate a professional customer focused attitude and be able to communicate effectively in a busy environment.
* Learn about pensions and participate in the administration of LGPS in a complex and changing environment.
* Be based at County Hall in Matlock with the possibility of flexible working arrangements.


Qualifications and Skills

* Confident communication and IT skills; keen to learn how pensions work.
* Ability to learn quickly and work well in a team.
