IT Project Manager – Strategic Technology Implementation - 1 Year Contract - No Sponsorship Available
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead a strategic technology initiative for a large organisation. This role will oversee the implementation of a new technical stack supporting design and planning teams, including industry-standard tools and custom development. The design phase is complete, with development scheduled to begin in early 2026.
This is a high-profile project requiring a strong technical PM who can manage complexity, communicate effectively with business stakeholders, and ensure delivery excellence. In addition, the successful candidate may also be asked to manage a parallel, more routine project.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, track, and manage project budgets, plans, timelines, and scope.
Manage project resources, including procuring staff and motivating, coaching, and advising team members.
Partner with functional teams to define business requirements.
Lead development teams in delivering high-quality software solutions that meet business needs.
Define test plans and ensure products are defect-free before User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Facilitate UAT and develop rollout plans and procedures.
Prepare and present cost-benefit analyses to stakeholders.
Ensure appropriate systems development and project management processes are followed.
Present updates to steering committees and project sponsors.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
PMP or PMI certification.
Proven project management experience in large-scale, multi-platform environments.
Strong people management and team-building skills.
Ability to adapt and exercise judgment in a changing environment with competing priorities.
Quick learner of business processes, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Strong risk assessment and management skills.
Experience delivering technology and business application solutions.

This is a 1 year contract operating INSIDE IR35, with occasional office presence required in our client's London hub.
