SALARY: From £17,602-18,078 (FTE £30,805 - 31,637) per annum plus pension and benefits
We have a rare opportunity to join the Admissions and Tutorial Office for 8 weeks during the busy Admissions season. You will assist with applications and interviews, providing administrative support to the Admissions Officer in undergraduate and postgraduate admissions at Trinity Hall, including processing applications and organizing interviews.
The College Tutorial Office aims to streamline administrative processes from recruitment and admissions of undergraduates to postgraduate degree completion. The duties of the Admissions Assistant are varied, involving responsibilities that are both shared and independent, requiring unsupervised work at times. You will work closely with the Admissions Officer, the Director of Admissions, and other academic and administrative staff, as well as current students both within Trinity Hall and across the wider University.
Candidates should have a good understanding of UK secondary education, high accuracy in data handling, and excellent communication skills for this role.
Working hours will vary over the 8-week period:
* Monday 27 October to 5 December: Part-time, 3-4 days per week, flexible hours
* Monday 8 to 19 December: Full-time, 08:30 to 16:30 daily to cover interview period (35 hours/week with 1-hour lunch breaks)
Duties include:
* Checking applications for relevant qualifications
* Editing applications spreadsheet
* Downloading admissions documents from Qualtrics
* Recording receipt of documents on spreadsheet
* Filing documents electronically on Google Drive
* Assisting with scheduling interviews using Word and CamSIS Interview Module
* Disseminating information and documentation to interviewers, including creating automated report forms on CamSIS
