SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School – Hammersmith
Location: Hammersmith, West London
Start Date: After February Half Term (trial first week back)
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
Pay: £90–£105 per day (depending on experience)
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Hammersmith is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team after half term. The school are looking to trial suitable candidates during the first week back, with the intention of securing someone long-term.
This role involves supporting pupils with a range of additional needs across the school, including Autism (ASD), behavioural needs, and emotional deregulation. You will work both in the classroom and, at times, within the school’s sensory room to support pupils with regulation and engagement.
The Role:

Supporting pupils with ASD, behavioural needs and emotional regulation challenges
*
Providing 1:1 and small group support across different year groups
*
Assisting pupils during moments of dysregulation using calm and consistent strategies
*
Supporting learning within the classroom and within a sensory provision space
*
Working closely with the SENCo and teaching staff to implement tailored support plans
The Ideal Candidate:

Experience working with children with SEN, particularly ASD
*
Calm, patient and emotionally resilient
*
Confident supporting pupils who may become dysregulated
*
Understanding of sensory strategies or willingness to learn
*
A proactive, team-focused approach
