Overview
Our client Northamptonshire's Children’s Trust is looking for a Children’s Social Worker to join their prevention and safeguarding team.
Responsibilities
* Assessing the needs and risks affecting children and families.
* Investigating safeguarding concerns, including neglect, physical abuse, emotional abuse, or sexual abuse.
* Developing and implementing child protection and child‑in‑need plans.
* Working closely with schools, health professionals, police, and other agencies.
* Supporting families to address difficulties early and improve outcomes for children.
* Attending case conferences, court proceedings, and multi‑agency meetings when required.
* Maintaining accurate case records and reports.
Qualifications and Skills
* Knowledge of child protection legislation and safeguarding procedures.
* Strong assessment and analytical skills.
* Ability to build relationships with children and families while managing risk.
* Effective communication and multi‑agency working.
* Resilience and sound professional judgment.
