Job Description:
We have an exciting opportunity at Shooting Star Children Hospices.
The post holder will provide senior management and leadership to the Strategy and Partnerships Team and develop robust internal and external stakeholder relationships to ensure statutory income is received and programmes of improvement and change are successfully implemented across the Hospice.
The postholder will play an important role in building and managing external relationships across our ICBs and other statutory partners. They will undertake significant engagement and collaborate with stakeholders, including ICBs, commissioners, acute, primary care, mental health providers, and voluntary, community, and social enterprise sector organizations.
The post holder will develop and maintain excellent working relationships within the hospice and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to support innovative, effective, and lasting solutions to complex service problems, supporting the delivery of SSCH’s Strategy.
The post holder will ensure the efficient operational management of the contracts manager, PMO office, and the in-house statutory funding operation, setting goals, objectives, resources, milestones, and success measures to deliver change, improvement, and transformation.
Main duties and key responsibilities
Strategic Planning
* Work with the Director of Strategy and Partnerships, the CEO, and other Directors to develop and advance strategic aims and priorities.
* Ensure delivery of the strategy's aims through coordination across directorates and external partners, addressing barriers and enabling long-term change.
* Oversee emerging opportunities for collaboration or challenges from system priorities, ensuring responses align with the hospice's vision, strategy, and values.
* Support the development and delivery of strategic directions based on current guidance, context, and regional/local needs.
* Collaborate with other Directors and Heads to ensure operational and business processes support strategic and performance goals.
* Contribute to evaluation plans that gather meaningful data and feedback to demonstrate impact.
