The Role
As Senior Design Manager, you will:
* Lead the design process from pre-construction through to delivery on some of the UK’s most secure and technically challenging defence projects.
* Manage internal teams, consultants, and supply chain partners to achieve uncompromising design quality, compliance, and buildability.
* Navigate complex MOD protocols, security requirements, and design approvals with confidence.
* Drive innovation, efficiency, and excellence throughout the design lifecycle.
* Act as the senior point of contact for both client and project teams, ensuring seamless communication and delivery.
About You
We’re looking for an accomplished Senior Design Manager with:
* Proven experience in leading projects within the MOD / defence sector – this is essential given the sensitivity of the schemes.
* A track record of delivering complex, high-value projects up to or beyond £50m.
* Exceptional leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
* A strong technical understanding of design management, buildability, and regulatory compliance.
