Client Director / Financial Planner – London (Hybrid) - Clients to Bring With
Salary: £100,000 – £140,000 + Bonus + Asset Transfer Incentives
Recruit UK are working with a highly respected financial planning firm in London who are seeking an experienced Client Director / Financial Planner to join their growing advisory team.
This firm combines the culture and flexibility of an independent financial planning business with the backing of a globally recognised investment group. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, client-centric financial planning, they pride themselves on offering a supportive environment for advisers and maintaining long-term client relationships rather than operating as a traditional consolidator.
The business operates on a hybrid working model (2–3 days in the office) from their central London location and has an “always on” approach to hiring experienced planners, particularly those who may have a client book to transfer.
The Role
This is a senior “player–manager” role suited to an experienced Financial Planner who enjoys both advising clients and mentoring other advisers.
You will manage a small team of Financial Planners while also maintaining responsibility for your own client relationships and supporting the wider development of the advisory team.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and mentor a team of approximately four Financial Planners
• Maintain and develop your own client portfolio
• Deliver holistic financial planning advice across pensions, investments and wealth planning
• Support the development and training of advisers within the team
• Work closely with the firm’s centralised investment proposition
• Contribute to the continued growth and success of the advisory team
Candidate Profile
• Experienced Financial Planner / Wealth Adviser
• Ideally able to bring transferable client assets (AUM)
• Experience managing, mentoring or training advisers is advantageous
• Strong client relationship and financial planning expertise
• Comfortable working in a leadership and advisory capacity
Salary & Benefits
• £100,000 – £140,000 base salary depending on experience
• Annual discretionary bonus
• Significant asset transfer bonuses structured over time
• Example: £75,000 bonus for transferring £30m AUM
• Hybrid working (2–3 days in office)
• Strong paraplanning and operational support
