A growing construction consultancy delivering high‑value residential and mixed‑use projects requires an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its expanding team. The business is recognised for its technical capability, client service, and commitment to developing surveyors toward chartered status. Reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will manage pre‑ and post‑contract duties across residential and commercial schemes, requiring a strong understanding of cost management principles, contract administration and project lifecycle delivery within a PQS environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare budget estimates and elemental cost plans
* Produce pricing documents and bills of quantities
* Review and analyse contractors’ tender submissions
* Prepare evaluation reports and tender recommendations
* Draft and administer contract documentation under JCT and NEC forms
* Manage interim valuations and final account settlements
* Support junior team members where appropriate
Essential Requirements
* Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
* 2–5 years’ experience in a PQS role
* Sound knowledge of cost planning and project financial control
* Experience with standard forms of contract (JCT, NEC)
* Progress toward RICS chartership (APC in progress or recently completed)
* Strong analytical, commercial, and communication skills
* Right to work in the UK

* Proficiency with CostX, CATO, or Bluebeam
* Experience in high‑end residential or development projects
* Effective stakeholder engagement with clients and contractors
* Capability to mentor junior colleagues and support team growth
