Assistant Practitioner – Tech Rehabilitation

Job Overview
The North Mersey stroke service specialises in assessment and treatment of patients following a stroke. This Band 4 clinical assistant practitioner will work with the stroke therapy team on innovation projects, delivering tech‑based rehabilitation packages to inpatients on the stroke units.
Main duties
* Work closely with the therapy MDT to identify suitable patients and lead on the introduction of rehabilitation technologies across the stroke pathway.
* Manage own caseload and workload independently.
* Introduce technology‑based rehabilitation packages to patients and relatives.
* Complete patient assessments using tech in rehabilitation and use data to support clinicians in treatment planning.
* Support the team to maintain equipment and resources.
* Work with the stroke and innovation team to implement and review research projects.
Qualifications
* Foundation degree or equivalent qualification.
* Experience of therapy work in a healthcare setting.
* Experience of issuing and retrieving patient equipment.
* Experience of carrying out mobility and exercise programmes.
* Knowledge of care agencies and how to access them.
* Able to demonstrate awareness of current NHS issues.

* Ability to prioritise workload and work flexibly.
* Good administrative and organisational skills.
* Team‑working ability and evidence of organisational abilities.
Contract
Band 4, Permanent, Full‑time 37.5 hours per week, salary £27,485 – £30,162 per annum (Yearly). Closing date 04 Nov 2025 23:59.
