Quantity Surveyor
We have an excellent opportunity to join one of the most renowned tier 1 main contractors on an upcoming scheme on the Isle Of Wight. The business has a national presence, operating out of several regional offices undertaking projects across the education, defence, commercial, student accommodation and MOJ sectors valuing up to £100mil. Projects are administered via a mix of JCT and NEC forms of contract.
About the role of Quantity Surveyor:
As Quantity Surveyor, you will be working on a complex MOJ scheme You will have an Assistant Quantity Surveyor reporting into you and you will report into a Commercial Lead.
Key Responsibilities as Quantity Surveyor:
* Work alongside the pre-construction team through 2nd stage tenders
* Oversee the project's procurement / management of sub-contractor packages
* Deal with final accounts / any dispute resolution that may arise
* Mentor junior members of the Surveying team and be involved in their professional development
Key Requirements for this Quantity Surveyor position:
* Hold a BSc Quantity Surveying or HNC
* Have experience working as part of the commercial team, procuring and managing your own sub-contract accounts
* Be proficient in administering various forms of contract including JCT and NEC
* Have the full right to work in the UK and be happy to commute to IOW
